Bethany and Owen were able to find their dream first home thanks to Shared Ownership.

This is their Snugg Homes story…

“Owen and I are both 25 years old and we are first-time buyers. We had been living at home with our parents and this meant we only saw each other on weekends or odd days in the week.

We have been together for 5 years and have always dreamed of living together. We were desperate to move out and into our first home, so that we could finally have our independence.

We looked at many different buying options but because of the current climate and the need for high deposits, nothing ever worked out.

We looked into Shared Ownership a while ago but didn’t think we would be accepted. We decided to send in an application, and it took just 6 weeks before we were moving in. We never thought we would be in our first home so quickly, we were over the moon!

The higher interest rates and deposits are making it virtually impossible for first-time buyers, but we were determined to move out. We really loved the affordability and support you got with Shared Ownership.

The development we live on now has always been our favourite. We are from the area and living here has always been our goal.

When we were told that Snugg Homes were listing some properties on this development, I came for a look around and randomly found and fell in love with this plot straight away. We were so fortunate that it was available. It was truly meant to be.

We absolutely love our home, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. We are so grateful to be able to live here.

Life has changed for the better. We are so happy to be living together, and our dog Eric absolutely loves it here; he seems so content.
