“My ‘typical’ day at work involves responding to enquires, booking viewings and arranging completion dates with both solicitors and purchasers.
Today, we had a new development ready for handover, so I checked the properties and noted any snagging needed – I then compared my notes with those made by the Development Officer.
After I have collected all the keys for the properties, and put the ‘for sale’ boards in the window, I then informed my team (and marketing) that the properties are ready for marketing. The Marketing Team can now create brochures, update our website and ensure that all the pricing information is available. The properties may also be marketed on RightMove, Zoopla or OnTheMarket.
My favourite part of the process is when I make a sale on a property; it feels especially good to see all of the homes on a development go under offer. I love the fact that I’ve played a part in buyers moving into their dream homes. That aspect of my job really motivates me.
I began my new role as Property Sales Coordinator at the start of lock down, which meant that I had to learn my new job remotely. This was very challenging, especially considering there are so many aspects to the role. The job can be very demanding at times – and meeting customers’ expectations is so important, but I love it!
