This is Becca’s Snugg Homes story

“Before the move we were living in a private rented two bedroom property in central Chorley, costing £550pm.

We didn’t have the security we wanted whilst in rented homes; a previous house we’d been renting was sold whilst we were living there – and we had only six weeks notice to leave; so we started looking for a more secure option for our family.

One of our extended family members had applied for a two bed Shared Ownership property on the Pear Tree Grange development. They told us about the house, the development and introduced us to the concept of Shared Ownership; we’d never heard of it before.  After some online research, we decided to apply too.

We couldn’t afford a traditional mortgage, but with Shared Ownership, we were able to get on to the property ladder – and as our financial circumstances change, we can staircase and increase our percentage share of the house until we own it outright.

We absolutely LOVE the house. We can’t wait to make it our home. The development is lovely and quiet – it’s in the perfect location too, we couldn’t ask for more!

The Snugg Homes service has been absolutely fantastic. I can’t praise Karen Hewitt enough for her patience, time and the effort she put in to get us into our new home, especially in the midst of a global pandemic.
