“I am 27 years old and live with my partner and our dog in Sutton-in-Ashfield. After privately renting for some time, my partner and I decided that we’d had enough of the area we were currently living in and wanted to live in a quieter area with more of a country surrounding. It was now time to purchase our first home together. 

We were persuaded by Shared Ownership after hearing positive reviews from some of my relatives who had also purchased through the scheme. Instead of continuing to spend money on renting, we decided this was the best solution to enable us to start our own family home.

Shared Ownership has made it so much more affordable for us to get on the property ladder.

We now feel like we have achieved something for ourselves; we’re able to put our own stamp on our property.

The house is the perfect size for us. The development is lovely – it’s so friendly and welcoming. We like to travel and explore new places, and we’re really enjoying going for walks through the countryside.
