First-time buyers Keera and Chris have just purchased their dream home at Millers Walk in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

This is their Snugg Homes story…

Chris and I were living in Lincoln for a while before we moved to Mansfield to be closer to family and work. We are both 24 years of age and have 2 beautiful cats: Bella – a Siberian Bengal, and Remy – a Snow Lynx Bengal. They have very colourful personalities and they keep us on our toes.

We are first time buyers; we had been living with parents, but before that we did live in a rented apartment. We wanted to step onto the property ladder but didn’t know that Shared Ownership existed, especially in our area.

We drove past the Millers Walk development and noticed the sign for Shared Ownership and realised it would be an ideal location for us, both for work and for family life.

We love the idea of Shared Ownership because you can start small with your mortgage repayments and grow to buy the whole property, which we are looking forward to doing. 

We have our own space to be creative and we have already personalised our home to meet our needs; many private landlords do not allow you to add your own personal flare to your property, but it was essential for us to make it our own, and now we couldn’t be happier.

Everything has gone above and beyond our expectations in terms of the house, we love how spacious it is and the ensuite also adds a touch of luxury. The garden is a fantastic size and has space for our future dog (a Samoyed), and for children to play, it also has an area where we can relax.

Our experience with Snugg has been great; everyone was helpful and answered any questions we had throughout the process.

We would especially like to thank Gemma from the Snugg team. When we first contacted Snugg Homes for the Tissington house type, it was no longer available, but, fate played its hand and Gemma gave us the news that it had become available and our application has been approved!
